Excerpts Of What’s Expanded On In This Weekly Wrap-Up
Aluula Composites Inc. (OTCQB:AUUAF) (TSXV:AUUA), a maker of ultra-light, high-strength recyclable composite materials, put up its first profitable quarter on strong top-line growth, with Q4 sales of C$2.9M vs. C$1.7M in the prior year and FY sales of C$7.9M vs. C$6.4M. Q4 EPS came in at C$0.00 vs. (C$0.09) last year, and the full year loss narrowed to (C$0.06) vs. (C$0.21). Management said it was the company’s strongest quarter to date and talked about moving from “early-stage disruption to sustainable growth,” while also stating that near-term conversion/margins could be “slightly tempered” as they invest in capacity.
Then, the very next day, AUUAF announced a C$10.0M “best efforts” private placement (units at C$3.30, half-warrants with a C$4.29 strike), with proceeds earmarked for expanding manufacturing capacity and working capital, and an expected close around February 24, 2026. Management has pointed to big capacity ambitions (including commentary in prior materials (slide 21) suggesting a 10x capacity increase).

Let’s not forget what happened to TSSI when, in early 2024, they announced its ability to expand their production by 10x when their stock was 50 cents. While AUUA looks expensive on paper, trading at around 8.0x TTM revenue, it is arguably a stronger setup than TSSI. AUUA will have a more diversified customer base and has clear IP competitive advantages.

- Velo3d, Inc. (NASDAQ:VELO) (industrial 3D printing) was selected as the first qualified additive manufacturing vendor for the U.S. Army program, and annouced another defense contract announcement. After a 264% peak rise since we interviewed the CEO as part of the Starting Five Defense Virtual Conference in October 2025, shares have pulled back sharply. Is the drop justified or an opportunity?
