Over the last six months or so, we have tweaked our Skull Session events with management teams to do our best to choose companies that we think are entering growth inflection points. We won’t get them all right, but we think this goal will create immense value for our premium investor community. Part of this goal includes inviting management teams to be guests on our Skull Session events the day of or day after their companies report important news, like earnings and contract announcements.
We got a chance to kill 2 birds with one stone on Friday morning when we were surprised with two yeses from the management of Biorem Inc (OOTC:BIRMF) (BRM.V) and Lakeland Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ:LAKE) in response to our requests to host Skull Session Briefings following the companies’ earnings reports late in the week.
In the Skull Session with Biorem’s CEO Derek Webb, the discussion primarily revolved around the company’s Q4 performance and its future strategies. Biorem, an air pollution control business, recorded Q4 revenues of $12.2 million, an increase from the previous year’s $10.9 million, although annual sales were down from $28 million to $25.1 million. The fourth quarter adjusted earnings were strong, up 30%, reflecting high margin service revenues closing in the quarter.
