AERL, formerly known as CS China Acquisition Corp. ("CS China"), acquired Asia Gaming & Resort Limited ("AGRL") on February 2, 2010. The principal business activities of its wholly owned subsidiaries are to hold Profit Agreements with VIP Room gaming promoter companies ("Promoters") and to receive 100% of the profit streams from the Promoters. The Promoters currently participate in the promotion of two major luxury VIP gaming facilities ("VIP rooms") in Macau, China, the largest gaming market in the world. One of the Macau VIP rooms is located at the top-tier MGM Grand Macau Casino in downtown Macau and is operated by the MGM Grand Paradise S.A. Another Macau VIP gaming facility is operated by Galaxy Casino, S.A. and is located in the luxury 5-star hotel, the Star World Hotel & Casino in downtown Macau. In addition, the Promoters plan to promote the first luxury VIP room in Jeju Island in South Korea, which will offer Macau-style gaming, and have concluded a favorable trial operation there.

AERL (which I bought into and regret) talks about its Rolling Chip Turnover (RCT). It's implied that this is a measure of revenue.

Half-true, IMO.

I learn that in any particular gambling room, there is cash (Cage Capital) which reflects Chips. The more Cage Capital, the more money is swirling around, ie higher RCT.

More money therefore gets made. But (after paying a variety of expenses, mostly disreputable) the 'profit' must be ploughed back into Cage Capital if growth in RCT is to follow.

AERL talks about a Hong Kong IPO. This is to raise more $$ to increase Cage Capital.

There's a dividend. But most of the money pays individuals/organisers and the rest just allows more gambling participants. If you are feeling generous, you could say it's a normal industry. I'm less generous.

Thanks, Whitetiger,

Sounds as tho' I shouldn't have bought AERL. But do you think Capital Raising just means someone lining his pockets (as I now suspect) or would you think the company (my company, my share in it) would benefit?

Malc, I see a strong possibility that Asia Entertainment (NASDAQ:AERL) would attempt to raise equity capital in conjunction  with an HK listing.

Malc .. yes i meant did you buy for a trade. For the time being its hard for our team to view the U.S. China space as more than a short-term trade. Fraudulent companies still exist; more than we like. That being said, we are still looking for exceptions.

AERL is looking to an IPO on the Hong Kong market. If this goes ahead and is taken up, does it mean more capital or in effect a dilution?

Public13483 Addfavorites AERL

Thanx ++ . Do you mean BUY when you say "trade" ? I was too nervous, wondering if there was something about to blow up.

malc,  Asia Entertainment (NASDAQ:AERL) Would have been a nice trade at the bottom. Did it go ex-dividend today?

Public13480 Addfavorites AERL

The dividend arrived!

I suppose today's drop is because it goes ex-dividend.

You say you have "no position" in AERL. Well, I distinctly read that you (GEOINVESTING) were Long on AERL, about 9 months ago.

I deal with Firstrade. They get the dividends in very reliably.

I've had AERL approx 9 months and No Divi.

Red Flag??

what brokerage firm do you deal with?  We have no investment position in Asia Entertainment (NASDAQ:AERL) but will attempt to look into this concern.

here are the details of the dividend payment schedule.
